The Wildcats of the Blue take on a their rival from the west in an early season showdown. It took a late pass from the Blue to reclaim the Governor's Cup from the Cardinals, the first time in five years. It would go on to set the tone for the Wildcats for a good part of this season. Though technically not an actual representation of a Hail Mary, this song shows the lore behind the desperate play that many teams resort to when they've run out of time.

lyrics
when you can't find all the answers
sometimes hope lies in the sky
we will never say surrender
we will never never die
everything on the line
we're running out of time
kneel down, beg and plead
a sullen act of desperation
one more shot at redemption
it is time to finally ask the question
when you can't find all the answers
sometimes hope lies in the sky
we will never say surrender
we will never never die
we deserve what's coming of us
for the end of our own undoing
for the victor the gods smile brightly
the largest arcs, the greatest stories
the power, the chaos
a dream like fever state
an endless fall from grace, the power overwhelming
when you can't find all the answers
sometimes hope lies in the sky
we will never say surrender
we will never never die
when you can't find all the answers (we never say surrender)
sometimes hope lies in the sky (we never say die)
we will never say surrender (still looking for the answers)
we will never never die (way upon high)
