The Lesser Forgotten:
The shot heard around the world, the lesser Mountaineers of the Appalachian enter the big house as typical fodder only to surprise the mighty Wolverines. Not only were they competing with them, they were out right beating them while making them look bad at every corner. The underdog, fueled with adrenaline and passion often make the greater team bleed only for them to crumble from the fatigue and pressure. With the Wolverines just seconds away from kicking the go ahead score to end the story once and for all, the lesser block the kick in sheer dominance strolling down the field in an all encompassing glory. 100,000 souls stopped in their tracks, with their story not playing out the way they were expecting. This became the theme and story of 2007, making way for the rest of the season. Odd happenings, records broken, firsts in forever, and curses would occur and cause this year to be the embodiment of chaos.
